Champion Sire Tavistock in Bronze
The bay son of Montjeu and the mare Upstage, this champion New Zealand thoroughbred Tavistock has multiple Group One wins as a racehorse and Group One winners as a sire, so it is fitting that he has now been immortalised in bronze.
Cambridge artist Nicola Lewis spent hundreds of hours sculpting the horse, completing the project just six months after Tavistock he passed away in December 2019. Nicola Jain Collections has released a strictly limited edition of 80 bronze sculptures.
During his years at stud this champion NZ sprinter and champion Sire Tavistock sired more than 76 individual winners, producing 19 individual Stake winners, 5 Group One winners and 4 Derby winners across Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Now his legacy will live on through his many sons and daughters.
Approximate dimensions (including base): L300mm x H200mm x W130mm
