I have been a bit slow with the updates this year as most of my focus has been on sculpting Zabeel version II!! He is now complete and is off up to the foundry next week. This is very exciting and rewarding after the first sculpture was damaged beyond repair.
I have had some time to reflect on the past few years, here is a short snippet of my journey to date:
In September 2011, I was a CFO living in New Zealand. Even though I was very good at what I did, my heart was not truly in it. In November, I finally decided to step up and take massive action. I grabbed hold of my dream to become an artist, moved to Ireland and transformed my life. I had the courage to spread my wings and soar out of my comfort zone, and now its starting to PAY OFF. It may have taken a few years but my dreams are coming true! I work hard and put so much blood, sweat and tears into my artwork & sculptures. My Zabeel sculpture is now complete, I have received the thumbs up from Sir Patrick Hogan and start the bonze casting process next week!!
I am sharing myself with the world and I am so grateful for every second of it!! Even if only for a fraction of a second, the chords that hold me to this earth are cut and I can spread my wings and fly. Thank you for allowing me to share my success and struggles with you all! Its moments like this that make me want to jump up and down and say YES!
